Our hotel is nestled in the middle of the 3-hectare monastery park with its horses and ponies. Altmühltal Nature Park: Explore the magnificent landscape of the Altmühltal Nature Park on perfectly signposted cycling and hiking trails. Directly on the Way of St. James: The famous pilgrimage route leads right past our hotel.
Urdonautalsteig: Hike on idyllic paths from Bergen into the Urdonautal valley and the surrounding forests.

Energy & heat from our own production

Sustainability & tradition

We can only warmly recommend a stay at the Klosterbräu.
After all, you can enjoy cozy warmth and hot water from our in-house biomass heating plant with an impressive output of 600 kW in a very environmentally friendly way.
We have been self-sufficient since 1992 (2nd generation from 2012) and are supplied with wood from the family’s own forests.

Our photovoltaic system with an output of almost 100 kW covers almost 30% of our total energy consumption on an annual average.
A large energy storage system enables 97% self-consumption.
Four charging stations are available for guests with electric cars.
